CONDUCT/ATTIRE
  • Campers are asked to follow camp daily rules which helps maintain a calm environment for everyone to be creative. This means no yelling,  running, or disturbing another child during the camp day.
  • We encourage 5 minute breaks as needed for rest and relaxation to sit quietly and read a book or have free draw time.
  • Children should wear comfortable clothes that may get stained and wear long hair pulled back off the face and neck.
SNACKS/CANDY
  • A bottle of water and a non-perishable snack should be packed for break time.
  • Please do not send any food with nuts or nut products due to children with allergies. Contact us directly with any specific health conditions or concerns.
  • No soda, energy drinks, candy, gum, or lollipops.
TOYS/DEVICES
  • No toy weapons (cap guns, water guns, etc.) Children may bring one stuffed animal toy for break time.
  • No video game handheld devices.
  • If you send your child with a phone or iPad, it must be kept in their backpack during activity time. They may use it at break time or for urgent calls only.
EMERGENCIES
  • In the event of an emergency, a parent or guardian will be notified and is responsible to come and pick up their child.
  • Otherwise, we will follow safety protocol and call 911 for assistance to the nearest available hospital if necessary.
DROP-OFF and PICK-UP
  • Drop-off is no earlier than 10 minutes before camp starts. Please come in with your child on the first day of camp to check-in and see the studio.
  • Pick-up at the end of session is done in-person with one parent or guardian coming into the studio to pick up your child. Please indicate who will be picking up your child on the registration form.
  • On the last day of camp you will need to bring a box with you to pick up artwork projects.
  • For Clay Pottery camps, some pieces may need to be picked up after camp due to drying or kiln firings.
LATE or MISSED Sessions
  •  Late drop-off is okay, but class will continue and the child will need to catch up on any work missed.
  • Any missed days of camp due to illness or any reason will result in the child possibly not finishing their projects. We will work on the projects when the child returns, but there is no guarantee that all work will be completed during the session and may need to be taken home unfinished.
  • If we know of any possible absence in advance we can make plans accordingly for the completion of projects. We cannot issue any make-up days after camp is over.
PHOTOGRAPHS
  • We reserve the right to use copies of artwork and photos taken during camp activities for promotion.
  • If you wish to not have your child’s photo taken, please email us at: create@smartivities.net to opt-out.
