Our Story...
FROM THE ROAD TO THE STOREFRONT
Founder, April Tennille Khalil, has been a lifelong Artist specializing in custom artwork varying from small works to large mural work. After traveling the East Coast doing professional arts and craft shows with her family, April started her own business in 2014, as April Khalil Artistry, and began providing customized services and educational art enrichment classes with her own student focused curriculum she named "SmARTivities" (Show Me ART Activities).
After her Medical Administrative position was eliminated by her employer after a company merger, April decided to venture further as an Entrepreneur and have a space to be creative to share her love of art while showcasing other artisan works. This paved the way for Smartivities Showcase to be born. On September 21, 2018, with the support of family, the first location of Smartivities Showcase was opened in Easton, PA on Centre Square where it operated and hosted events, art classes, parties, and housed open artist studios with exhibitions for over 6 years.
Then, on December 12, 2024 Smartivities Showcase held their Grand Opening of their location in the Promenade Shops Suite #802 in Center Valley, PA with a larger Pottery Studio in addition to regular offerings. The Easton location was then closed in 2025 due to growing challenges in the downtown area and all business was moved to the Promenade except for the Open Artist Studios.
Now, given the opportunity for a larger space with a better layout for all that Smartivities Showcase has to offer, we have moved into an over 4,000 sq. ft. space in the Promenade. We are located across the street in Suite 103 in the Western end of the Shopping Center. With more space for our Artist Market, Creation Station Activities, Classes and Parties as well as a dedicated Pottery Studio with Memberships for Open Studio time, Creativity Grows Here and continues to grow more and more over time.
SmARTivities Showcase is a constant work in progress being a woman-owned and family operated business. We're proud to offer quality merchandise and unique specialty items to support creativity and the arts in our community. We put lots of love and careful attention into what we do. We hope you enjoy our work as much as we enjoy bringing it to you.
Come share in our vision and Celebrate the Arts with us!
Easton, PA
Our first location at 60 Centre Square had an Artist Market, Open Artist Studios, Pottery Workshop, and Classroom upstairs. It was an interesting and creative building that once housed Lafayette College and a Vaudeville Theatre where the Marx Brothers Played.
Promenade Shops
Saucon Valley
Our second location in Suite #802 allowed us to expand our Creation Station and Pottery Studio and had a smaller footprint for the Artist Market. The site was formerly The Peeps Store and had a purple ceiling with tall windows.
Promenade #103
Our current location in the Promenade is the best one yet! We have a larger Artist Market space in the front of the store, which blends into the second section with our handmade gift collection. Our Creation Station, Classroom/Party Space, and Pottery Studio all have enough room to create!
