You have questions... we have answers!

Are the Artists in your Market local?

Yes! We work directly with local artists to bring you quality handmade items and original artwork. We also have a collection of other handmade items that we curate directly from the artisans who make them from near and far to bring you truly unique items to choose from.

How can I become a vendor in your Artist Market?

We have an online application form that you may fill out to tell us more about your work and inspiration. We accept applications regularly and approve depending on the right product fit and appropriate display space. Pricing is discussed upon approval.

See the ARTIST PORTAL for link to Sign-Up and apply!

Are you a chain with more than one location?

No, we are not a chain or part of any franchise. We are a woman-owned small business which is family run and operated by talented individuals with a passion for creativity. When you shop with us, you support local small business and artists directly.

Our owner and lifelong Artist, April Khalil, started her business in 2014 as a side gig doing birthday parties, face painting, and teaching art enrichment classes around the Lehigh Valley. Our flagship storefront opened on September 21, 2018 in Easton, Pennsylvania at 60 Centre Square on the Historic Downtown Circle.

In 2024 Smartivities Showcase opened a second location at the Promenade Saucon Valley in Center Valley, PA with a grand opening celebration on December 12, 2024, which has now become the only location since the Easton storefront closed.

You can be certain that this small family business is by local artists, represents and supports artists directly, and encourages anyone who wants to be creative!

Tell me more about your pottery studio!

Sure! We have many opportunities for you to work with clay to make pottery in many forms. Our pottery studio has 8 pottery wheels, a wedging station, worktables, and storage shelves. We have an assortment of tools and basic materials needed to make functional and decorative pottery.

Our mid-sized electric kiln is available for kiln share firing services with some requirements such as purchasing clay and glaze from us to ensure quality. We do simple firings up to Cone 6 max. We have standard materials available for purchase in studio- but also offer special ordering services for other supplies you may need.

We offer pottery classes and workshops that are structured with beginners in mind which offer flexibility as you grow and learn. As you gain more knowledge and practice making pottery in our instructor led classes, you will have an option to then come for open studio time when you're ready!

Since pottery making is a process that needs time and effort, we have a solution for every need.

Try it out! Take a Wheel Experience class to take a spin and try to make a piece to keep.

Drop-in and Spin! Take a Beginner Class to see if you want to continue the pottery making process. This is an ongoing class that meets every Saturday morning and some Sundays at convenient times. If you want to keep your piece, then you just book another session to do the next part of the process. We recommend 4 classes to practice and attempt to make pieces to keep in the process from clay, to trim, to glazing your pieces.

Learn the Basics! Attend a 3-week course to do the basic process of making pottery from clay to glaze.

Keep Going! Ongoing classes allow for you to come on a regular basis to practice your skills with instructor led assistance. Once comfortable you can come for studio time on your own.

See our CLASSES page to view available classes and schedule.
