Pottery Wheel Experience Workshop

Come throw some clay… on the pottery wheel that is! You can experience the joy of ceramics in this introductory class for anyone interested in attempting the basics of wheel thrown pottery. No prior experience needed, no expectations, it’s just to try out for fun!

What's included: 

• Instructor led 2-hour class for students ages 8+ 
• Demonstration of the wheel throwing process 
• Time to practice wedging and centering clay on the wheel
• Experimentation to attempt making a small pot, bowl, or dish
• Attempt to make and simple glaze finish one piece to keep!

Ages: 8+ (We do not recommend children under this age to attend this workshop. We have other clay classes just for kids that they may attend.)

 ***Please note: This is just for a fun experience only. Pottery is a process. It takes at least 3 class sessions to fully understand the basic steps. If you wish to continue the pottery making process, you are welcome to come to one of our Beginner Pottery Class sessions or Book a Seat in our Intro to the Pottery Wheel 3-week Course.
