Little Explorers Summer Camp (Ages 5-7): MUDPIE CLAY POTTERY

In this 5-day camp little hands will love exploring using real clay to make a fairy garden flower pot. Campers will be introduced to the 4 basic methods of working with clay: pinch, coil, slab, and molds. They will also be able to paint a piece of pottery from our selection of bisqueware! There will be plenty of clay play time as we sculpt the parts of the project including:

• Slab flower pot
• Coil Gnome sculpture
• Pinch pot style accessories (mushrooms and flowers)
• Accent clay sculpture and using texture tools
• Pottery Painting and Glazing

Includes Materials, Discussion, Process Practice, Exploration, and Kiln Firings. 

CREATIVE EXPLORER Kids Art Camps: Our camps are unique in that children will get introduced to different mediums with a fun weekly theme. Campers will spend their days learning and exploring a variety of art methods and materials. Each day of camp (Monday-Friday) students learn, practice, and work on projects to take home finished artworks by the end of the week. All abilities are welcome with age-appropriate supplies and materials included, as well as student focused instruction.
