Little Explorers Toddler Art Class
Bring your “Little Explorer” to this hands-on class of art exploration for Toddlers ages 3-5 which focuses on fine motor skill development and sensory learning. We use a variety of materials as we explore color, texture, and the creative process. This is perfect for little hands with big imaginations!
Sessions include:
- a different theme each month
- introduction to various materials and processes
- skill building practice and technique guidance
- exploration "play-time" based on interest
- Unique project to take home
Little Explorers Booking Options:
Drop-in Class: Book a one-time class to reserve a seat for exploration making a simple project using the material and process of the day's lesson. (Does not include the Final project.)
Class 4-Pack: Book one class now and have 3 more in the pack to use for future dates as your schedule allows at a discounted rate. This is best for those who wish to come on an ongoing basis to explore art processes with consistent practice or to complete a more detailed project by the end of the month.
***Please note: Caregivers should stay nearby, however, adults are not required to participate in the actual process unless the child invites them to do it with them. (You may bring a snack, book, or laptop to use while you are waiting in our Creation Station studio during the class time.)
MONTHLY THEMES: (See Calendar for this month's schedule)
OCTOBER: "Create with Fall Nature" Toddlers enjoy the fall season drawing leaves and painting a tree with autumn colors and adding natural elements. Practice also includes fiber craft as we create a weaved basket. Final project is a bean mosaic with a painted frame!
NOVEMBER: "Mudpie Clay Sculpture" Little hands have fun with different types of clay sculpture this month. We make our own squishy non-allergenic play dough, make leaf impressions in polymer clay, make an air-dry clay sculpture of a mini pumpkin, and explore molds for ornaments. Final project is decorating a wooden sign with our polymer clay leaves.
DECEMBER: "Painting Wonderland" Explore the wonders of the season by painting on multiple surfaces like paper, canvas, and wood to create handprint keepsakes and ornaments for the holidays! Great for personalized gift making fun! Final project is painting a ceramic ornament of your choice!
