Drawing Basics Course
This introductory basics of drawing course focuses on learning how to draw what you see with step-by-step instruction. Students ages 8 and up will learn techniques using graphite pencil, colored pencil, charcoal, and pastels. No experience necessary as this class is perfect for beginners or anyone needing more guidance in the fundamentals of drawing.

- Subject design
- Perspective guides
- Shading and detail tips
We will be working on a collection of exercises and studies for practice throughout the course. Students will be designing their own composition while learning how to draw Portraits, Landscapes, Still Life, and Illustration subjects. They will be able to draw the style of their choice in these subjects such as their favorite place and favorite character or person. By the end of the course students will have attempted to finish at least one complete drawing of the subject of their choice.

Length: 1-1/2 hour session
Meets: Once a week for 4 weeks
Supplies: Sketch book included. Shared materials included. More supplies available for purchase if needed. May bring your own supplies.
