Pottery for a Purpose Wheel Experience Workshop
Pottery for a Purpose Wheel Experience Workshop
Join us for an experience of wheel thrown pottery and have fun throwing clay while supporting a great cause at the same time! No experience necessary to come and attempt to make two bowls. You will get to keep one bowl for yourself and the second bowl will be donated to a local charity in our community. Let's help fight hunger and support those in need.
How it works:
- Register online for the workshop to reserve your seat
- Attend the class on the scheduled date
- Bring a can of soup or non-perishable food item to donate to a local food bank
- Learn how to center clay on the wheel and attempt to make two bowls
- Simple trim the bowls and glaze paint with the colors of your choice
- Choose the bowl to keep and the other will be donated to a local charity!
Ages 13 and up. All materials included. You will be able to pick-up your finished kiln-fired bowl in about 2 weeks from the date of the class.
*A portion of the proceeds will be donated to one of the charities listed along with canned and non-perishable food items being donated to Second Harvest Food Bank:
- Empty Bowls Project
- Second Harvest Food Bank
- Breast Cancer Research Foundation
- International Red Cross
- Local Community Fundraiser
